Hi everyone!

I was going through some older photos and came across a shoot I had done for a company… that then led to another project…

Gemma was the perfect ‘word of mouth’ client. I had paid her friend Lucy for a completely different project… who then paid me to get some shots for a mobile bronzing business she was setting up. Lucy brought in Gemma who after seeing my whole production wanted some shots of her own…
So here are the bronzing shots:

I had honestly never shot a whole series without including people’s faces before. The owner of the business was in these shots with Gemma, and she didn’t want it to be distracting… but that meant that I was constantly aiming the camera at their navels instead of their eyes. It didn’t feel the most polite.

Gemma really enjoyed that project, so then she came back for her own shoot, which are these photos below…

I worked with lots of models that would concentrate their careers on the swimwear and lingerie market and Gemma was very much in that camp.

Melbourne was way more of the fashion capital than Sydney, which was always super cool, but being a colder climate, it meant that most swimsuit and lingerie shoots had to happen in the winter to get the publicity and garments ready for the spring.

Swimsuit models are way tougher than you think.
